About the role:

Join our team as a registered nurse and be a vital part of our surgical team, providing exceptional, individualized care to our patients. This role offers a dynamic blend of theatre and practice nursing, giving you the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds!

Key Responsibilities:
• Pre-operative surgical assessments
• Administering and monitoring IV sedation (TCI)
• Providing care in the recovery/PACU area
• Performing cannulation and venipuncture
• Conducting post-operative patient reviews
• Assisting in peri-operative/scrub/theatre nursing duties
• Collaborating with GPs and other healthcare professionals
• Making clinical decisions in accordance with treatment plans and practice protocols
• Ensuring infection control measures are followed
• Working closely with clinicians to optimise patient outcomes
• Collaborate with our team to innovate and implement new ideas that enhance patient care and practice efficiency

Skills and Experience:

Non-negotiable Requirements:
• Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a valid APC, with the right to work in New Zealand.
• Current CPR certification.

Bonus, but not essential:
• Proficiency in IV cannulation and venipuncture.
• Experience in the dental industry or theatre.
