Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Manager at Omega Manufacturing Limited located in Arima. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, improving operational efficiency, managing human resources, developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Operations Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and achieve operational goals.

• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills

Key Responsibilities:

The key... responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Developing and implementing strategies to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the factory.
• Reviewing processes to ensure that quality control standards are adhered to.
• Routinely inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
• Managing the factory personnel, including planning, coordinating and supplementing shift rosters.
• Ensuring that factory equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.
• Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
• Preparing and submitting production and other related reports for review by Management.
• Ensuring compliance with required HSE practices and promptly report all accidents and incidents.
• Monitoring and scheduling raw material purchases
• Monitoring and ensuring adequate spares are available for machinery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Requirements:
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience being responsible for the daily operations in a manufacturing or process operation.
• A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field will be an asset.
• Must have experience with a manufacturing plant operation.
• Strong understanding of process flow manufacturing.
• Experience with and/or understanding of the properties of concrete manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic systems, electrics and mechanical components of manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of HSE protocol in a manufacturing industry, including incident reporting protocols.
