EMAPPLY is currently seeking a seeking a motivated and organized Paralegal to join a growing Australian legal team. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team with various tasks, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files. Role: Paralegal

Location: Remote

Hours: 10am - 6pm SAST

Salary: R20000 - R24000 per month based on experience

Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case-related information
• Organize and manage case files, documents, and exhibit materials
• Assist with trial preparation, including preparing witness binders and trial exhibits
• Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions
• Communicate with clients, opposing... counsel, and court personnel
• Draft correspondence and maintain accurate and updated case records
• Assist with document production and discovery requests
• Perform administrative tasks, such as uploading, organizing, and filing
• Coordinate with outside vendors, experts, and witnesses
• Adhere to deadlines and manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Previous experience as a Paralegal or similar role
• Knowledge of legal procedures and court rules
• Familiarity with legal research tools and databases
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Experience with electronic filing systems is a plus
• Paralegal certificate or degree in Legal Studies is preferred

Requirements
• Previous experience as a Paralegal or similar role
• Knowledge of legal procedures and court rules
• Familiarity with legal research tools and databases
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Strong organizational and time management skills
