Hunter New England has an exciting new opportunity for a District Palliative Care Project Data Analyst to join our team and work closely with the palliative and end of life redesign team and district palliative care staff to develop a district-wide approach. Flexible working hours and location negotiable, within HNE, are offered. The redesign and district palliative care team members are located in various locations across the district working collaboratively virtually. The team has a passion for ensuring equitable timely access to palliative care services delivered seamlessly across inpatient and community settings.

About The Job

This exciting new position is a fantastic opportunity to explore the current IT systems used to... collect, interpret, and report data across all the palliative care sites and services across the LHD. The project data analyst will ensure the implementation of standardised activity data collection and interpretation aligns with local and state-wide palliative care goals and priorities.

This will involve collaboration with district activity data units and palliative care teams, as well as contributing to working groups to identify solutions for standardised routine collection and reporting of palliative care data. The successful candidate will provide education, training and support to services and clinicians to implement solutions.

The role will be supported by the direct line manager, LHD Clinical Network Manager, the redesign team, district palliative care staff and the leads of the Palliative and End of Life Care Stream. You will have access to orientation based on your background and level of experience as well as a range of supportive district palliative care professionals.

If this sounds like you, we’d LOVE to see you apply:
• Clinical experience in a multidisciplinary team essential, with palliative care experience preferable
• Knowledge of data systems and activity reporting within HNE such as CHIME, i.PM, and ARIA.
• Enthusiastic, highly organised and able to work collaboratively as a member of a larger multidisciplinary team
• Have experience in complex services that impact on multiple services, settings and stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively, forming relationships with representatives from all levels of the organisation
• Communicate effectively.
• Have a passion for coaching and mentoring.
