The Opportunity:

Our client, a well known Canadian owned consulting engineering and architecture firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. You will have the opportunity to lead the electrical design on a variety of projects, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal design teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Leading electrical design efforts on projects of various sizes and complexities.
• Coordinating with clients to define project scopes and requirements.
• Developing concepts, schematic, and detailed designs for electrical systems, including lighting, power, and controls.
• Conducting calculations for electrical service and distribution systems, equipment selection, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Overseeing lighting design, including selection and calculations according to industry standards.
• Ensuring electrical systems comply with building codes for life safety and resource conservation.
• Coordinating drawing... documentation and specifications for project bid packages.
• Collaborating with authorities and service providers to meet project requirements.
• Providing technical analysis, preparing reports, and estimating electrical capital costs.
• Conducting site surveys, assessments, and field reviews throughout the construction process.
• Coordinating with equipment suppliers, contractors, and other design disciplines.
• Providing technical direction and quality assurance for electrical scopes on various projects.
• Depending on your interests, this role may also include people leadership and/or business development opportunities.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in building electrical systems for industrial, institutional, commercial, and/or healthcare projects.
• Licensed member of PEO (P.Eng).
• Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., OBC, OESC, CSA).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to think creatively and deliver innovative solutions.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a drive to identify growth opportunities.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets and schedules.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff (preferred for leadership roles).
• Experience in business development, client acquisition, and proposal preparation (preferred for business development roles
