Role Description

This is a one-year, temporary contract. The ideal candidate will manage the finance function of the business and produce thorough financial status reports for senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. In addition, this person will evaluate, analyse, and report on appropriate data points and guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines in line with company policies and strategies.

Role Responsibilities
• Achieve budgeting and forecasting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage the month-end close process, oversee all Team-related month-end tasks, and ensure completed within deadlines.
• Prepare, analyse, and review monthly management accounts.
• Perform a monthly review of the allocation of costs with leaders.
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximise the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, Team and organizational budgets, and actual expenditures.
• Work closely with the Business to ensure clarity on financial performance and that financial information is presented clearly to support non-finance colleagues.
• Develop strong relationships with the Business operationally and support any initiatives and queries.
• Liase with insurance providers for coverage queries from the Sales Team.
• Act as a point of contact for external bodies for all finance- and governance-related items.
• Identify and suggest improvements across the Business from a control and business process efficiency perspective.
• Mentor the existing Finance Team (global locations), and manage their workload, activities, responsibilities, and priorities.
• Manage audits and financial statement preparation in multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure taxation compliance for multiple entities worldwide.
• Provide corporate governance support.
• Perform company secretarial compliance for multiple entities worldwide.
• Take part in ad hoc work and systems replacement projects.

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• Professional certification, such as Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or equivalent with more than 5 years post-qualified experience (PQE)

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a knack for building strong relationships and collaborating effectively across departments
• Proactive and results-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation in financial practices
• Able to perform accounting activities in an accurate and timely manner
• Able to effectively manage responsibilities and workloads in a fast-paced business environment
• Enthusiastic and passionate approach towards business challenges
• Experience in SAGE 200 Professional
• Experience with start-ups is an advantage
