Markham Wesley Centre is a non-profit organization located in Markham since 2014. We provide multi-services and recreational programs for youth and senior in the York Region.

The idea for Markham Wesley Centre was born in 2011, to meet the needs of a diverse and fast-growing community... The Markham Peoples Community Church graciously offered access to a facility on their beautiful park-like property at 22 Esna Park Drive. After three years of fundraising, planning, and building, our new state-of-the-art facility is ready to serve and enrich our community.

This position is contributed by The Employment and Social Development Canada, target to provide summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Job Types: Full-Time, Temporary

Salary: $16.55/hr

Working hour: Monday to Friday 9:30am-5:00pm


The primary goal is to elevate operational efficiency, ensuring a smooth experience for both our community members and staff. This project offers a unique chance for recruited youth to acquire practical experience in technology adoption and system integration within a community context. The hired youth will undergo a health and safety training prior to their start date as part of our recruitment process. Each coordinator will be working under the direct supervision of a senior staff on a daily basis and will also benefit from weekly mentorship throughout the course of their employment.

- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to assess and understand facility booking system needs.

- Assist in the research, evaluation, and selection of a suitable facility booking system.

- Coordinate the implementation of the chosen system, ensuring a smooth transition.

- Provide training to staff on the effective utilization of the new facility booking system.

-Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and address concerns during the adoption process.

- Contribute to marketing efforts to promote the benefits of the new system within the community.

- Actively seek feedback from users to enhance system usability and address any issues.

- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the successful integration and utilization of the new system.

• 1 year of system analyst experience required
• 1 year of program coordination and/or administrative experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment.
• Flexible to work in day/night shifts, and Saturdays.

• be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period;
• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
• have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
