GerTEK Project Management & Technical Services are hiring for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Sligo.

We have multiple projects that we support, and we are looking to add to our team, we are interested in talking to you if you fit the criteria outlined below:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
• Perform daily preventive and demand maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain records and documentation on relevant Engineering Procedures, perform equipment validation and maintenance.
• Liaise with internal/external... Engineering Personnel and contract maintenance providers for troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate and implement equipment projects.
• Supported by an experienced team at Sligo site

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct daily demand and preventive maintenance, and problem-solving for manufacturing equipment to meet product quality and production schedules.
• Support Robotics (Denso, Kuka, Staubli, ABB).
• Maintain At-Line label printing and vision inspection systems (e.g., CI Vision, Cognex, Keyence, Zebra).
• Debug sensors (npn, pnp, programmed, inspection) (e.g., Keyence, Wenglor).
• Assist in installation and validation of new/upgraded processes.
• Liaise with contracted maintenance personnel.
• Establish department goals with Area Team Leader/Manager.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and practices.
• Promote continuous improvement in safety culture.
• Recommend and implement safety standard improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments on accident/incident investigations.
• Adhere to and improve environmental procedures.
• Support Engineering Team in maintaining facilities, utilities, and equipment to required standards.
• Liaise with Division Engineering as needed.
• Ensure compliance with calibration requirements in conjunction with Quality calibration coordinator.
• Identify and implement Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs).
• Supervise external contractors.
• Manage internal and external plant projects.
• Perform other relevant duties as requested.

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES:
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in hands-on engineering.
• Two years of experience in maintenance of manufacturing/process equipment in healthcare or food processing industry.
