Senior Financial Accountant (Enterprises)

Permanent Contract, 39 hours

Park West, Dublin

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant will have full responsibility for the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for the company including P&L's, Balance Sheet, Forecasts & Cash Flow supported by detailed analysis and schedules.

The individual will... also have a pivotal role with preparation of Budgets, Project work, Business Plan proposals, Updating & Implementation of Policies & Procedures, Preparation of Financial Statements and Internal & External Audits.

Minimum Education & Skills Required
• Qualified Member of relevant accountancy body with PQE (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Minimum 5 years PQE experience.
• Experience working within a commercial industrial environment.
• Proven experience in using a relevant operations and financial software package (EFACS an advantage).
• Experience working to tight deadlines complex accounting function.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate, effective and timely monthly management accounts.
• Develop reports and analysis to provide insights on business/product line performance making recommendations, contributing to business decision making.
• Pivotal role in preparation of the annual financial budget for review and approval for agreed deadlines.
• Support with the development of financial modelling techniques, tools and reports for preparation of tenders and new business plan proposals.
• Key involvement with the internal and external statutory audit process, including the completion of internal reviews and resolution of any internal control recommendations by auditors. To provide support where required in the preparation of annual Financial Statements for external audit and presentation to the Board for approval.
• Support Financial Controller in preparation for Board meetings and attend where required, including preparation of ad hoc reports or responses to Board queries.

Additional Requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.
• Some travel required across Ireland, as require; plus occasional trips to Poland.
