Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Executive Support Staff (Code 1100), Security and Fire Office (Code 1120), NFPC Security Branch (Code 1123), of The Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) a detachment of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Duties * You will develop, manage, evaluate, and implement major and complex security programs such as the Physical Security and Anti-Terrorism... Force Protection (ATFP) programs. * You will assist in the integration of all Physical Security and ATFP initiatives with uniform regional police services and regional police dispatch services. * You will assist the supervisor with the formulation and application of security policy, procedures, systems, training exercises, and programs involving Physical Security and ATFP. * You will provide technical advise and make recommendations that impact the NFPC policy relating to Physical Security and ATFP Management. * You will perform threat, vulnerability, criticality, and risk analysis to determine and recommend Physical Security and ATFP Priorities to the NFPC's facilities. * You will manage a comprehensive drill and exercise program to test the NFPC's knowledge of ATFP security requirements. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience applying knowledge of Federal, DOJ, DOD, and Navy security policies and procedures.
• Experience developing, managing, evaluating, and implementing major and complex security programs.
• Experience utilizing investigative, audit, and surveillance techniques to evaluate compliance with regulations and requirements.
• Experience exercising judgement and original thinking in crisis situations.
• Experience utilizing a variety of security equipment and devises, alarm and detection services, closed circuit television systems, and locking devices for doors, windows, vaults, and gates.GS-09
