Deskside Support Engineer

Place of work: On-site – Multiple Client Sites in Ireland / Duration: Permanent / Hours of work: Monday – Friday (office hours)

This role requires travelling between various client sites in Ireland as you will be responsible for covering employees on annual leave, sick leave, etc. A valid driver's license and access to private transportation are essential requirements.

Within this Deskside Engineer role, you will work across multiple client sites in Ireland providing cover for team members while on leave or acting as an additional resource when projects dictate. You will gain great exposure to client sites and multiple technologies and environments. The role is heavily... customer focused and main responsibilities would involve on the spot troubleshooting.

Position Responsibilities:
• Request Fulfilment - following the BOI IMACD process & SLA’s.
• Standard IMACD’s
• Enhanced IMACD’s
• Hardware and Software deployments
• Incident Resolution – managing incidents following the BOI process & SLA’s.
• Service Now or other ITSM systems– Manage and update ticket queues.
• Asset Tracking - responsibility for asset tracking and reporting of all existing and new ICT equipment.
• Ensuring handover and updates of tasks to relevant persons and Team members
• Reproducing, diagnosing, and analysing problems reported by end-users, in turn formulating solutions to resolve the issue at hand.
• Face-to-face end-user support in corporate sites via Tech Zones and appointment bookings for BAU.
• Providing training and advice to users, both in response to identified difficulties and to share tips for optimal computer operation.
• Coordinate efforts with Third-Party Vendors.

Technical Competencies:
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

• MS Active Directory
• Experience in IT related services with understanding of networks and servers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with ITSM ticketing tools, ITIL process, Asset Management and Escalation Management.
