In the Personalization Experience track, we turn data into experiences. Our aim is to create modern and relevant moments for our customers from the look to stay journey, scalably. We do this by investing in capabilities such as smart positioning, smart content... (recommendations), rich reusable connected UX patterns married with a centralized distribution system that can enable our stakeholders to create personalized experiences at scale. This ensures our customers see and interact with a website/app that looks consistent, is on brand, understands our user’s context and adapts to their actions and needs in real time.

As a product manager in the Personalization ML team, you will lead our efforts in recommendations and ranking, utilizing advanced techniques such as multi-armed bandits, deep learning, and more to deliver personalized content and services to our users. You will do this with a talented machine learning team, whilst partnering with key multidisciplinary stakeholders across the company.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Define and drive the vision and strategy for personalized recommendation systems across various product lines, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
• Lead cross functional teams comprising of machine learning scientists, engineers, design, researchers to develop and implement ML models that are performant and increase user engagement and satisfaction.
• Oversee the design and implementation of state of the art ML algorithms for ranking and recommendations, including but not limited to contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, and collaborative filtering
• Monitor the performance of recommendation systems, define success and metrics to optimize the performance and ensure models adapt to changing user needs and preferences
• Act as a key point of contact for all stakeholder communications related to Personalization ML for the Marketplace, including communicating product performance, progress and insights with senior leadership
• Define operating models and ways of working between the team and different product teams across the company using machine learning capabilities.
• Monitor and respond to changing regulatory requirements, to keep our models secure and compliant.
• Maintain a pulse on the emerging user and technology trends such as GenAI, to be pioneers in delivering value to our travellers

Qualifications & Skills
• 6+ years of experience in building customer centric products as a Product Manager, with at least a few years of experience building ML products.
• Proven track record of developing and launching ML models, preferably in the Recommendations and Ranking space.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering/ Statistics will be preferred
• Data savviness & demonstrated ability to develop experimentation strategies.
• Demonstrated experience identifying & navigating through complex stakeholder management scenarios across different business units
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with senior management, capable of leading diverse teams
• Fluent in the English language both spoken and written.
