Finance Director

Role Title: Finance Director

Salary: Generous salary package plus bonus and car allowance

Location: Nantwich, UK or Avila, Spain

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

Ornua is actively seeking a Finance Director to join our Financial department as we continue our growth trajectory. As our Finance Director, you will play a key role in serve and support the Ornua Ingredients Europe business unit, which has two sites in the UK (Nantwich... and Ledbury) and one in Spain (Avila). You will ensure that the business is financially healthy by creating a strong control environment and delivering insightful analysis of the business performance.

The role will report directly to the Finance Director, Ornua Ingredients, with a strong dotted-line relationship to the Managing Director, Ornua Ingredients Europe.

Why This Role Is Valuable:

The Finance Director is responsible for leading on;
• Business Partnering
• Act as finance business partner to the MD, contributing strongly to the overall management and strategic direction of the business
• Become a strong member of the OIE management team, contributing to the effective and efficient functioning of the organisation
• Define and put in place KPIs to manage the business effectively and ensure the timely delivery of those KPIs.
• Provide leadership for the Finance function across all sites/entities, as a value added member of the OIE SLT with emphasis on the designing and putting in place a best-in-class Finance function to support the growth and development of the business.
• Business Partnering: Ensure the Finance function equipped to provide best-in-class support to the Commercial and Operations functions, providing high quality financial information and insights to inform and underpin the management and control of the business
• Business Planning
• Enhance capability in budgeting and forecasting through improvements in processes and systems
• Ensure that timely and accurate performance monitoring KPIs are delivered to the businesses to facilitate decision-making
• Financial Control
• Maintenance of an efficient and effective financial control environment
• Production of accurate financial reports to meet internal and Group reporting requirements on a timely basis
• Compliance with all tax and Company Law requirements
• Internal Control: Implementation and maintenance of a strong internal control environment
• Talent Management and succession planning: Drive the creation of development plans for all individuals within the European Finance team to enable them to grow within the roles, and to create a talent stream for the broader organisation
• Financial Performance Management
• Risk management

What You Bring To The Role:
• Qualified Accountant
• Experience operating in a senior Finance role, with proven business partnering experience, demonstrating adding value through financial insights which support business decision making
• Track record of Team development – assessment and development of talent
• Highly developed influencing skills; demonstrable track record of influencing business decisions and strategy direction
• Proven experience in driving key changes which support business development
• English and Spanish language capability is desirable
