Essential Functions...

• Conduct interviews, reviews, and evaluations to produce meaningful reports and analytics, improve operational efficiency, and enhance operational effectiveness
• Assist in improving the financial understanding of non-financial professionals
• Effectively communicate with various other departments, discussing company plans for financial and non-financial data and developing reports to interpret the data
• Provide creative ideas to improve and enhance reports, analytics, and processes
• Manage financial reporting process throughout the company
• Produce high-quality, impactful, visually appealing, and easy-to-understand monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Develop analytical tools and models to support strategic business planning
• Strong background in technical skill sets related to IT and administering FP&A software

Other
• Develop ad hoc reports and financial analysis as needed
• Present and speak comfortably and professionally in groups of various sizes
• Interpret financial information and provide courses of action
• Lead the following processes:
• Annual budgeting
• Monthly budget versus actual analysis
• Update forecast to year-end
• Monthly, quarterly, annual company, business unit, and divisional financial reports
• Prepare executive committee, board of directors, and shareholder reporting packages
• Participate in strategic business planning
• Lead, educate, mentor, and coach less experienced team members
• Ability to interact professionally

Competencies
• Subject matter expert in Excel
• Experience/Proficiency with Prophix and Vista preferred but not required
• Fundamental knowledge of SQL and Power BI would be a plus
• Medium to expert level of knowledge in other Microsoft products: Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Strong foundation and experience in basic accounting, financial, and statistical principles

Supervisory Requirements

This position will play a role in leading others. There may be no immediate direct reports but supporting the supervisory and team development process will be a must.

Work Environment

A professional office setting utilizing tools typical of the modern business environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee regularly sits for long periods at a desk in front of a computer screen. The employee occasionally may be required to lift, push, pull or carry objects typical of an office environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. This position will sometimes require work outside of normal business hours.

Travel

The role requires intermittent travel potentially up to one week per quarter. The company has operating divisions in the Southeast and Midwest.

Education And Experience
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Construction-related experience preferred

Additional Eligibility Requirements
• Must possess documentation sufficient for travel, renting vehicles, and moving freely about the United States.
