Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced restaurant manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. As restaurant manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and driving business growth. Competitive annual salary of $70,000 - $75,000AUD plus superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate, reflecting our commitment to attracting top talent and rewarding... excellence in the hospitality field.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Operational Management:

· Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and inventory management.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards to uphold a safe and sanitary environment.

· Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.

2) Staff Supervision and Training:

· Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and support personnel.

· Foster a positive work environment by providing ongoing training, coaching, and feedback to employees.

· Delegate tasks effectively and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs while controlling labour costs.

3) Customer Service Excellence:

· Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by providing personalized service and resolving customer complaints or concerns in a timely manner.

· Lead by example and set high standards for service quality, professionalism, and hospitality.

· Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience and foster customer loyalty.

4) Financial Management:

· Monitor and analyse financial performance, including sales trends, food and beverage costs, and profitability.

· Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts and implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.

· Optimize revenue opportunities through strategic pricing, menu engineering, and promotional activities.

5) Marketing and Business Development:

· Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and drive repeat business.

· Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other business partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

· Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities, and proactively identify opportunities for business growth and innovation.

Qualifications:

· Strong academic background in hospitality management with a degree and diploma from an accredited institution.

· Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, implementing innovative strategies to improve operational efficiency, enhance guest satisfaction, and drive business growth.

· Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to resolving operational challenges.

· Sound knowledge of restaurant management best practices, including food safety standards, inventory control, and labour management.

· Tertiary qualification in hospitality management or a related field is desirable.

· Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and other industry-specific software is an advantage.

· Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

· At least 2 years of relevant employment as a restaurant manager is highly required.
