Accelerated Analytical Laboratories is a full-service contract cGMP-testing laboratory (Good manufacturing practice.) Laboratory ISO 17025 accredited facility, we serve local, national, and international clients. We serve the food, medical device validation, facility monitoring services, and quality control and release testing, as well as ICH stability storage. , natural products, OTC... (over-the-counter) medications, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics markets. Within those markets, we test a wide variety of consumer products: pet food, lotions, shampoos, cleaning supplies, vitamins, water, and prepared foods, just to name a few. Our specialties include microbiology and chemistry, compendia methods, process and method.

Accelerated Analytical Laboratories is seeking a Analytical Chemist to join our team! The Analytical Chemist conducts and schedules tests that support the quality of customer product samples. They may train less-experienced team members on the use of instruments or performing compendial methods, and delegate activities. Additionally, the Analytical Chemist enforces GDP within the lab, may participate in R&D projects, client methods transfer, and may perform other quality system activities such as method validation, equipment qualification and calibration, LC-MS, HPLC, Triple quad liquid chromatography.

Essential Job Functions:
• Assists with sample scheduling, follows instrument use schedule, prioritizes, and assigns daily tasks with team members.
• Fields questions from team members regarding sample preparation, test methods, and equipment issues.
• Notifies manager of any unresolved issues regarding testing or meeting turnaround times, equipment issues, or laboratory activities.
• Performs analyses using instruments and equipment such as ICP, HPLC, GC, autotitrator, polarimeter, etc.
• Coordinates projects with Quality such as equipment calibration and qualification.
• Coordinates projects with Project Manager such as method validation, client method transfers, and stability studies.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and materials for chemistry testing and submit requisition requests to Laboratory Manager.
• LC-MS.
• Triple quad liquid chromatography.
• Wet chemistry.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year university (Chemistry preferred)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience performing laboratory activities in a GMP facility preferred
• Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with AAL policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledgeable in USP, FCC compendial test methods and monograph testing
• Knowledgeable in cGMP
• ·Experience with operating HPLC, GC, IC, MS, ICP, UV/Vis, FTIR instruments
• Experience with Wet Chemistry, and polarimetry
• Experience using standard laboratory equipment including balance, pH meter, viscometer, autotitrator, density meter, etc.
• Leadership and organizational skills, good communications skills, and attention to detail are critical
• Microsoft Office suite and electronic record experience preferred
• Able to write legibly and use GDP

Working Conditions:
• Work is performed in a fast-paced laboratory environment
• May be exposed to hazardous test samples and chemicals that require the use of PPE
• Occasional weekend work required, may be assigned to a split shift schedule
• Required to stoop, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
