Job Description
• Development and validation of NEMO regional ocean model for the Southeast Asia specifically for the Maritime Continent (MC).
• Implement river runoff from global data and Hydro-JULES into NEMO.
• Experience with atmosphere-ocean coupling
• Analyze satellite-derived salinity data, compare, and validate against available in-situ measurements.
• Write reports and publish high-quality journal papers.
• Present the results in international conference.
• Attend training/workshop as required to maintain proficiency.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Field of Study:
• PhD in Physical Oceanography, Ocean Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics, or other related discipline.

Job Requirements
• Preferably minimum 3 years of relevant research/industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of physical oceanography, ocean modelling and hydrodynamics.
• Experience in using NEMO or other ocean circulation models.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating... system and shell scripts
• Experience of working on an HPC/supercomputer
• Good knowledge and skill in programming language (e.g., Fortran, Python)
• Experience of handling large global data (netCDF format) using CDO and NCO
• Familiar with MATLAB, and Ferret/pyFerret
• Knowledge in handling satellite, in-situ, reanalysis/hindcast data will be an advantage.
