BAT PNG IS LOOKING FOR A FACILITIES & PORTFOLIO MANAGER

SENIORITY LEVEL : Experienced Professional

LOCATION : Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

ROLE TYPE : Permanent role

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The PNG market is highly regulated as the government tends to adopt policy developed from countries like Australia / NZ or from international bodies such as World Health Organisation.

The trading environment of the tobacco category is changing due to increases trade specialisation, concentration of decision power, growth in internationalism and the increased use of technology. To gain the competitive advantage, maintain current singular supplier status and enhance brand, volume and profit performance, the company will need to strive to adapt and... successfully implement BAT Best Practise and Learning.

Reports to: Head of Talent, Culture & Inclusion

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDES:
• Manage all BAT-owned or leased properties/facilities across multiple locations in Papua New Guinea.
• Plan and oversee property/facility relocations and procure new properties/facilities when necessary.
• Plan and supervise all maintenance and servicing activities at BAT-owned properties/facilities to ensure the preservation of our assets and their safety and security.
• Plan and supervise the servicing and maintenance required at BAT-leased properties/facilities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and safety and security standards.
• Oversee the management of rental and property agencies responsible for BAT-owned properties, maximizing business benefits.
• Manage budgets, including estimating expenditures, raising capital expenditures (capex), acquiring quotes, and ensuring actual spending remains within budget.
• Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with the Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment with the business requirements.
• Develop external networks with individuals and organizations to facilitate the accurate and timely exchange of information and provision of advice and services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
• Proven experience in Facilities, Construction, Property Management, or related fields for 5 years or more.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Minimum diploma in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
