Position Overview:

The illumin Journey Advertising platform has introduced an entirely new way of buying addressable media over the past three years since launch, and with that a new level of understanding and strategy is needed as it relates to bringing this platform to the market and selling its core value to external agency and brand direct clients. We are excited to be building a dedicated support team to assist the broader sales organization with deeper level discussions with prospective self-serve and managed service clients.

How You Will Contribute:

The solutions engineer will be a SME with media and business knowledge and be a resource available to the broader sales teams as needed. They will assist in designing and recommending advanced recommendations for potential and existing software customers who have complex needs as it relates to our illumin Journey Advertising platform. They will attend virtual and in person client meetings per request and learn to understand the... in-depth needs of our customers business goals and operations.¬This role works alongside the commercial and field sales teams to uncover customers business challenges and create a unique and engaging story while subsequently presenting the value and benefits of that story of using illumin as the catalyst.¬This team member will drive end-to-end support for complex deals, including building important customer and account relationships.

Following that, they will undertake a variety of activities such as making recommendations to sales and customer success (or to customers directly) with the purpose of signing new customer contracts and winning deals. They will accomplish this by a combination of creative problem solving within the scope of our current technological capabilities, as well as identifying new functionality and quick wins that our product and engineering teams should possibly pursue. Additionally, they will act as an advocate within the technology division for lesser-known product functionality that is in-demand, and which could provide significant sales wins over the short and long term.

What You Will Do:
• Help to build the foundation of a team at a heavy growth stage AdTech company using your expertise and background at prior roles and companies.
• Engage in presentations of illumin with potential/existing customers, internal sales teams, training internal colleagues.
• Design strategies and recommendations for potential illumin self-serve and managed service clients.
• Support the qualification of self-serve deals and scoping/timeline of customer delivery to ensure product fit to customer needs.
• Partner with Product during the pre-sale phase to shape and scope any new areas that are not part of our out-the-box offering.
• Identify potential challenges and blockers to complex deals and driving software based solutions.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop compelling collateral for illumin including: Contributing to blogs, white papers, and conference attendance, etc.
• Serve as a critical voice of the customer to provide input to illumin Engineering and Product teams
• Assess potential clients' platform requirements and help create plans that align with those objectives and strategy, considering factors such as illumin platform features, scalability, integrations, support, and pricing for long term contracts.

What You Will Need:
• 3-5 years in the AdTech, or SaaS industry, in a role related to advanced software support.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Platform, Marketing and Engineering teams.
• Ability to drive high level strategic business conversations with agency and brand direct clients.
• Expert-level knowledge of the RTB programmatic and addressable ecosystem, competitive landscape of DSPs, SSPs, and an overarching understanding of the convergence of MarTech and AdTech platforms.
• Required in office presence (approximately 3-5 days per week in Toronto) to collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
