Outside Technical Sales Representatives

The Opportunity:

Canadian Industrial Pumps is eagerly seeking seasoned and highly driven Outside Technical Sales Representatives to join our dynamic team. These pivotal roles will play a key part in building out and formalizing the outbound sales strategy of our organization.

Founded in 2000, CI Pumps is a leading value-added distributor of industrial pumps in Western Canada. The company has deep experience providing technical engineering and consulting services for pumps and pump systems in industries including mining, infrastructure, water & wastewater, oil and gas, pulp & paper, and construction. CI Pumps has a full service and repair shop for a wide variety of pumps.

Job Duties:

Develop & Execute Sales Strategies
• Formulate and implement effective sales strategies specifically tailored to industrial pumps, parts, and pump repair services.
• Identify key markets, accounts, industries, and projects within the industrial sector to drive new customer acquisition and sales growth.

Build and Nurture Client Relationships
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients in the industrial sector, emphasizing a deep understanding of their pump and pump system needs.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the network and generate leads.

Technical Product Knowledge
• Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of industrial pumps, parts, components, accessories, and services offered by our company.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and competitive products to provide valuable insights to clients and the company.

Sales Pipeline Management
• Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales cycle.
• Utilize CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions for accurate reporting.

Experience & Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or a related discipline is considered an asset.
• Proven track record of technical sales, specifically in the industrial pump sector.
• In-depth understanding of pumps and pump systems.
• Results-oriented individual with a commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to establish and maintain strong connections with clients.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Established network within the industrial sector, including clients, suppliers, and industry professionals.
• Experience in managing the entire sales process using CRM tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude.

Position Details:
• Work Location: mix of in person at CI Pumps’ Surrey location and remote work.
• Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time.
• This position comes with a competitive compensation package including a base salary, commission, and a benefits program.
• Start Date: as soon as possible.
• Work Authorization: must be legally able to work in Canada.
