GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position will be responsible for assisting in the sales growth and customer journey of the LCA product line in Canada. The position will work closely with key customers, sales, and engineering to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

The responsibilities of this position include:

❑ Providing in-depth applications engineering and technical product support for the North American sales teams and customers. This requires the ability to understand complex technical details as well as demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate between engineering (mainly in Germany), sales, and customers

❑ Utilizing all product related design tools, data sheets and online tools in order find customer solutions with relevant igus products to help increase sales

❑ Collaborating with German and US colleagues (International Sales/Product Management/Engineering/Quality/Production) daily to support customer projects and programs, as well as aligning on... marketing campaigns

❑ Perform and optimize communication between production, R&D, construction, sales team, and customers

❑ Visiting customers in-person and/or on virtual sales calls with sales teams as a technical resource; Acting as primary project manager on projects including direct contact with customers, RSM’s, Inside Sales and Engineering

❑ Mentoring and train local colleagues in the business unit to increase departmental knowledge to increase the practical application of the products into the North America market; develop a stable team and a future local successor for the on-site LCA business developer position

❑ Develop, maintain, and perform training programs

❑ Find, evaluate, and develop suppliers, building the business relationship, developing new products, their standards and verifications

❑ Calculating production costs and pricing for LCA standard and custom parts while maintaining product profitability; decide invests into product availability and marketing; Implement, define and coordinate standards and procedures along the product line, i.e. stock, how to improve cutting of rails

Identify, strategically plan, and execute successful marketing and direct sales campaigns in North America

❑ Develop marketing assets such as catalogs, digital content and printed materials with the marketing department

❑ Trade Show planning and coordination - including walking Trade Shows

❑ Frequent observation, analysis and documentation of the marketplace including competition-watches, identify potential customers, monitor competitors’ activities and industry trends to expand and strengthen global market presence

❑ Yearly strategic goal setting with each Technical Sales Manager for the product line to increase region-specific sales

❑ Goal review meetings (i.e. OKR) with the team; reviewing weekly reports of each team member

REQUIREMENTS:

❑ (optional) Previous experience in LCA Technical Sales

❑ Strong technical skills: able to present technical concepts; provide customers with hands-on technique using our products

❑ Willing to post on LinkedIn and other digital marketing platforms

❑ Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

❑ Travel may be required

❑ Additional travel to Trade Shows, with Regional Sales Managers or to Sales Meetings will be required, as needed

❑ Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding goals as well as strong negotiation and closing techniques

❑ Self-starter; motivated, team focused and results driven with developed organizational, and time management skills

❑ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

❑ Proficient in the use of MS Office

❑ Ability to travel within North America and Europe
