We are seeking a Senior Manager with extensive experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) to lead our EHS program. The appointee will report to the Director and Associate Director of the Health, Safety and Environment Office.

Job Posting Details
• Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance with local and international regulations, and promote best practices for creating a safe and healthy work environment at the university.
• Supervise a team of technical EHS staff in implementing various occupational safety, health, and environmental programs to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and develop control strategies to minimize hazard exposure associated with teaching, research, and operational activities at the university.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into business decisions and processes.
• Manage EHS audits and inspections.

• Bachelor's... degree in Engineering, Science and Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant working experience in occupational and health safety in academic institutions, commercial or public sectors and/or industrial undertakings. A capacity at the supervisory level is preferable.
• Strong knowledge of local and international EHS regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
• Knowledge in database management system and application is preferable.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Manager.

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits and housing benefits (where applicable) will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
