ROLE OVERVIEW

The Assistant Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging traditional retail operation marketing with contemporary social media and digital marketing strategies. This role demands an aggressive and experienced professional who can spearhead marketing campaigns, coordinate cross-functionally, and drive Mothercare Malaysia's marketing vision to unparalleled heights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -

Retail Marketing Execution
• Spearheaded monthly marketing campaigns aligning with brand objectives and market trends.
• Ensure seamless execution of retail... marketing initiatives such as in-store promotions, window displays, product launches and events to enhance brand visibility and consumer experience.
• Managing and executing all marketing collaterals i.e., sale catalogues, POSMs, posters, leaflets and more ensuring that all materials are executed in a timely manner
• Coordinate with store team, suppliers or any other 3rd party agencies for in-store displays, setups and promotional materials.
• Diving into consumer behaviour, buying patterns, and customer segmentation to develop targeted marketing initiatives based on data-driven insights
• Alignment and working alongside social media marketing to ensure cohesive marketing campaign execution and brand messaging.
• Liaising with mall management on all marketing-related matters

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Engage in cross-functional coordination with teams including creative, buying, operations, e-comm, retail store team, brand principles and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Forge strategic partnerships and collaborations to amplify brand reach and relevance.
• Organize and oversee brand events, ensuring they align with brand objectives and resonate with the target audience.
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team to drive online engagement and sales.
• Coordinate with external agencies and partners for collaborative campaigns.

Performance Analysis & Reporting
• Monitor and analyse the performance of retail marketing campaigns, providing monthly post-campaign reports, insights and optimization recommendations.

Budget Management:
• Manage and monitor the approved marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation and ROI based on the given budget

QUALIFICATIONS
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail marketing, with a preference for candidates from the baby, maternity and kids’ industry, multi-brands industry, FMCGs or beauty industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in both traditional retail operation marketing and digital/social media marketing
• Excellent communication skills with a good command of English and copywriting skills.
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborations.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for market trends and consumer behaviours.
