Planificateur-trice Construction / P6 Planner / Planning Manager - French speaking essential

The opportunity

Project: We are currently looking for a Planning Manager (P6) to work on a large scale complex construction project in North France. The requirement is to form a collaborative relationship with an organisation that will provide access to high quality programme and project management and controls resource support and expertise supporting the delivery of our portfolio of projects and programmes. It is expected that the Partner will enhance the clients existing programme and project management capability and offer supplementary capacity by providing flexible, appropriately skilled resources as the need arises.

The Planning Manager reports directly to the Senior Planning Manager who is responsible for the direction and coordination of all planning activities within safety, quality, time and cost milestones.

This position supports the development of an overall integrated plan... and budget for the project and to establish effective and fully transparent reporting and controls across the whole project.

To establish, develop and maintain schedules for sub-projects within the overall Programme. This will

include the application of Project Control standards and expectations to support the timely and accurate preparation, production and maintenance of:

- a suite of integrated and logic linked schedules covering all aspects of the programmes for the project;

- loading of cost and resource estimates within the schedule; and production of project reports.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Production and control of cost and resource loaded baseline and current schedule, utilising approved work breakdown structures and techniques;

• Adherence to scheduling and project control standards across the project

• Overseeing and ensuring schedules are updated to an agreed timeframe;

• Support cost control, risk and change management teams where appropriate;

• Support the production of monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis;

• Producing analysis of trends, generating performance indicators and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities;

• Analysis and integration of schedules provided by contractors and suppliers;

• Support the estimating process;

• Establish and foster working relationships with all appropriate stakeholders pursuant to the discharging of your responsibilities or in aid of theirs

• Liaise with other sections of the team; and

• Foster and practice client team values

• Responsible for supporting schedule management and reporting for the project – including cost and earned value reporting and management;

• Provide ad hoc support to the wider Project Controls function to develop the capability of the team using knowledge from wider experience.

• Adherence to the current monthly Project Controls cycle and processes and support with any future development.

About you

You have a construction or civil engineering related degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the programme, project or commercial management disciplines. You are enrolled on and are working towards a professional qualification (e.g. APM, PMI). You have received the relevant CSCS card.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and create and nurture a team to work with you. You are keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
