The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for:
• Managing the operational activities of the Quality Control Department by planning and developing systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
• Managing the construction of all garments within the various PBE factories to ensure construction compliance and product integrity.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities
• Responsible for managing the Military and Commercial Quality.
• Responsible for developing, implementing and managing programs that ensures the garment

construction from all sources both inside and outside the Pompano... facilities.
• Manages the ISO Program from internal audits to maintenance of system like DCRs, Archive System and training to third party ISO audits.
• Oversees receiving inspections, incoming inspections, training, NCR initiation, scheduling personnel,Sub-Contractor reviews and tracking, Data entry and analysis, work instructions, gage calibration, FACAR responses, DCMA monthly reports, DCMA oversight and scheduling, FAT participation, QVP/PPP assemblage participation, PRR assemblage participation, QMS assemblage, manufacturing floor coverage, contract reviews and management reviews.
• Responsible for allocating appropriate resources commensurate to the amount of work in the factory and ensuring personnel are qualified.
• Responsible for participating in the PPAP Process by analyzing designs, patterns, trim work and participating in the final approval.
• Create appropriate planning methods and means of supporting production.
• Develops and maintains systems established standards related to activities and products.
• Develops and maintains systems to measure performance against established standards.
• Monitors performance in relevant areas according to agreed standards and takes necessary actions to communicate ,advise and assist according to performance levels.
• Maintains Quality Control database and reporting systems, analyzes data for Quality and ISO reporting and operational metrics.
• Monitors and communicates standards created or maintained by external bodies and integrates within internal quality management systems.
• Ensures all quality standards are met by subcontractors and supplier; issues supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) when necessary.
• Participation in Data Reviews for manufacturing.
• Manages Standard Work Instruction Programs.
• Oversees the Commercial FIT program.
• Conducts internal audits for Pompano and Puerto Rico.
• Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience which includes supervisory responsibility and ISO knowledge or its equivalent experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience, statistical applications experience and quality requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.
• Self-driven and results-oriented with a clear focus on high quality and business profit as well as a natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English and Spanish.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Bonus: ISO Auditor training certification.


Sitting for long periods. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of items weighing up to (25) twenty-five pounds such as files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials. Moving from place to place within the office; minimum reaching for items above and below desk level. Strength, dexterity, coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
