jobs description

Our client from South Wales is looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Health/Technical Officer to work alongside their Environmental Protection and Housing team. The work will include routine responses to service requests, statutory nuisance work, including noise, odour, water and air quality, responses to planning applications and contaminated land. You will also be expected to carry out the full range of duties associated with private sector housing enforcement including HMO'S, HHSRS inspections and empty properties.

To apply you will need to have recent work experience in a similar capacity, having at least a minimum of one year post qualification experience of pollution and housing enforcement in a Local Authority. You will be expected to manage your own caseload so you will need to be well organised and you will need to be able to work under minimal supervision. Good communication skills are essential and you must be comfortable dealing with the general public. It would... be desirable that you are EHRB registered but you must hold the HHSRS accreditation.

This is a Part time (3 days per week) contract to cover maternity leave for 12 months. Rates will be payable at £25
