As a reputable staffing provider, we are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated QHSE Manager with specialized expertise in Renewables to join their team, as they prepare to expand their operations significantly in the Amsterdam region.
Job Overview:
As the QHSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance across our client’s offshore Renewables projects. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems, aligning with industry regulations, best practices, and the evolving landscape of the Energy Transition.
Key... Responsibilities:
1. HSE Strategy and Planning:
– Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies tailored to the unique challenges and requirements of offshore Renewables projects.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
– Stay abreast of local and international regulations in the Renewables industry and ensure compliance across all operations.
– Lead the preparation and submission of required permits and reports.
3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
– Conduct thorough risk assessments for offshore Renewables projects, identifying potential hazards and implementing effective risk mitigation measures.
– Foster a proactive safety culture by promoting risk awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
4. Incident Management:
– Develop and implement incident response and investigation procedures.
– Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
5. Training and Awareness:
– Develop and deliver training programs to enhance HSE awareness and skills among employees and contractors.
– Facilitate regular drills and exercises to test emergency response capabilities.
6. Environmental Sustainability:
– Drive initiatives to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability in line with Energy Transition goals.
– Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics.
7. Stakeholder Engagement:
– Cultivate positive relationships with regulatory agencies, industry partners, and local communities.
– Represent the company in HSE matters during industry forums and events.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications are a plus.
– NEBOSH or HVK (Hogere Veiligheidskunde) certification.
– Proven experience of at least 3 years in a similar role within the Offshore Renewables industry.
– In-depth knowledge of industry-specific HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
– Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
– Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and lead change in alignment with the Energy Transition.
