About the Role:

The CADS Case Manager will work with adults experiencing moderate to severe addiction issues, along with moderate to severe mental and physical health difficulties. Our Case Managers are a part of a multidisciplinary team that applies evidence-based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, in an individualised manner. They work with other services and organisations to address obstacles to recovery.

About You:

The successful candidate must be a New Zealand Registered Nurse and have excellent communication skills with the ability to relate well to a wide variety of people. It would be an advantage to have an understanding of te ao Māori, including te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga, and te Reo. Evidence of competency in the specialist area and previous experience in Mental Health and Addiction sectors would be beneficial. However, we are keen to find a good fit and would welcome a less experienced candidate who is able to develop rapidly.

Duties:
• Support clients’ mental health and addiction needs
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Engage clients in their recovery journey
• Work effectively with addiction and mental health difficulties
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and planning
• Work closely with other services and NGO’s
