Morrells Woodfinishes are a market leading British company originating from 1902 specialising in high performance wood finishes, with a significant European brand profile and reputation as part of RPM International Inc.

We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to join the business as a Fastmatch Technician.

Duties Include:
• Ensure all products and/or samples matched and prepared are tested in accordance with the appropriate test methods and meet all relevant specifications.
• Understand the capabilities of the spectrophotometers and colour databases and be proficient in their use.
• Provide a high level of service to the Despatch Department and maintain the required level of throughput to meet Company and customer requirements on a daily basis.
• Provide and communicate... clear and relevant information to all internal departments, Branches, RBM’s and customers as the individual situation demands.
• Maintain all equipment and wet and dry standards in good condition and ensure efficient filing and retrieval of the same.
• Ensure all appropriate records are accurately and tidily prepared and maintained.
• Undertake timely and regular filing of all documentation to a level where retrieval is quick and efficient.
• Update any formulations as required with the Fastmatch supervisor
• Bring immediately to the attention of the Fastmatch supervisor any batches or formulations which require significant or abnormal additions at the point of testing.
• Be proactive in improving colour reproduction and colour prediction techniques.
• Communicate efficiently and effectively any issues that may result in a batch of material not meeting its requirement deadline.
• Have a level of skill in consistent product application.

• Proven ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines in order to meet customer expectations.
