The Role:

FutureCert is a reputable Registered Certifier and Building Surveyor firm with extensive industry experience managing diverse certification projects throughout NSW. As a key member of our team, you'll oversee Class 1 & 10 buildings, acting as the primary point of contact for our clients, providing advice, completing assessments, inspections of building work and issuing building approvals/certificates. Candidates will have the opportunity for professional advancement, including exposure to Class 2-9 buildings and support to achieve unrestricted accreditation as a Registered Certifier/Surveyor.

Duties:

As a member of our team at FutureCert, your duties will encompass managing day-to-day workload, client expectations, and technical responsibilities while working towards company goals and objectives. You'll provide expert guidance to clients, conduct inspections to ensure compliance, and issue Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Occupation Certificates, Crown Certificates and Building Code of Australia assessments. Client management will be pivotal, involving consistent review of job activity and resolution of issues. Collaboration with stakeholders, staying informed about industry trends, and contributing to business improvement are also key aspects of your role, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our building certification services.

Qualifications/Experience:
• Building Surveyors who are Registered with the NSW Office of Fair Trading for Restricted Class 1 & 10 buildings. We also welcome candidates who are nearing accreditation.
• Demonstrated expertise in assessing and inspecting Class 1 & 10 buildings.
• Thorough understanding of the National Construction Code – Building Code of Australia.
• Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Strong commitment to professional development and maintaining high standards of work.
• Client-focused mindset, with a dedication to meeting challenges and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Proven ability to review processes and procedures to improve service delivery.
• Experience with Building Compliance Software (BCS) would be advantageous.
• Current drivers license and legal work rights in Australia essential.
