PROJECT MANAGER

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the operational functions of an upcoming project, including Human Resources and Administrative functions.

This role involves facilitating change, providing risk-informed, solution-focused analysis, offering strategic advice, and contributing to project management decisions to ensure successful project delivery.

The Project Manager will be accountable to the senior team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve the project's objectives.

Key Responsibilities :
• Manage day-to-day operations... within the project, ensuring processes are efficient and support the project's objectives.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline project activities and drive performance.
• Lead HR functions for the project, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations within the project context.
• Ensure administrative processes and systems within the project are efficient and support project goals.
• Oversee procurement, vendor management, and contract administration within the project context.
• Identify and manage operational risks associated with the project, implementing mitigation strategies as required.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to ensure the project's success and minimize disruptions.
• Lead change management initiatives within the project, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing resistance.
• Communicate changes effectively to project stakeholders and provide support during the transition period.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Maintain effective communication with the senior team, providing regular updates on project status and key issues.
• Plan, execute, and close project activities within established timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Education :

An Advanced University Degree (Master’s and above) in one of the following areas is required : Business management, Financial management;

Accounting, Public Finance; and related operations function (Supply Chain, Human Resources, Information Technology, International Business, Project management, etc.) is required

Experience :
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on operations, HR, finance, administration, reporting, facilities management, administration, supply and logistics management, information and communication technology.
• Prior experience in the development sector would be an asset.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.

Skills :
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and lead through uncertainty.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• This position may require occasional travel for project-related tasks
