Duo are already involved in interesting projects like the HS2 rail link and M55 motorway expansion, in addition to £ multimillion turnkey quarrying projects. New diverse and challenging projects are coming in the work pipeline and we need to expand our finance team to support the business.

You will work from the Coventry office, but communicate regularly with your finance team colleagues in the various Duo offices and sites.

Starting pay £40 - £45k with Company Health Benefit plan, pension and free parking benefits.

The successful candidate will have experience in controlling finances for companies... with 100+ employees within the construction sector .

• Cash forecasting, weekly, monthly, yearly
• Controlling income, cashflow and expenditure
• Managing costs, receipts and payments. (and keeping spending in check!)
• Making & receiving all payments including international payments.
• Tracking manual bank transfers & matching with sales records.
• Verifying monthly & weekly company payrolls and upload BACS file
• Bank account reconciliation of all group companies
• Bank statement analysis
• Submitting invoices to external funders and managing account
• Monthly management accounts, including reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
• Sending VAT invoices & receipts to clients.
• Raising intercompany recharges.
• Managing, chasing & collecting overdue/declined/failed payments in an effective & friendly manner.
• Liaising with auditor
• Preparation of monthly company VAT returns.
• HMRC communications, returns calculations and submission
• Reporting monthly running costs to the MD.

• Commercial Awareness, understanding each contract
• Very good IT skills including Word, Excel and accounting software packages.
• Excellent numeric skills
• Possess good communication skills both verbal and written
• Positive attitude and hands-on approach, co-operating well within a team
• Organised and methodical
• Self-motivated able to use initiative to prioritise tasks, come up with better ways of working and take responsibility for own projects
• Demonstrate logical and analytical skills
• Efficient time management, working to deadlines
• Very good attention to detail
• Flexibility be able to take on new challenges

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5+ years experience in a construction company finance team
