Department Overview This position is assigned to the Finance and Accounting Strategy Department of Rakuten Group, Inc. and mainly be in charge of treasury operations for Rakuten Group’s subsidiaries and/or businesses. The department is promoting the establishment of a global operational structure of financial management to support the rapid business expansion of the group companies. In addition to regular treasury operations, this position will participate in various projects and work together with group companies in overseas, such as the planning, establishment and operation of new system and improvement activities. Position: Why We Hire Due to expansion of business   Position Details Main Tasks - Fund management of group companies (Budgeting, forecast-actual analysis, etc.) - Funding management in cooperation with the treasurer of each group company - Support for treasury operations of group companies - Reporting to top management and liaison with related internal departments - Negotiation with banks and other financial institutions - Foreign exchange risk management - Bond/guarantee management - Correspondence to audits Other Project Tasks - Participation in various projects deliveries and new service development as a person in charge of the finance. - Strengthening of financial and accounting governance and improvement of operational efficiency - Formulate financial processes, policies and rules for the group, and promote their implementation at each company in cooperation with the finance staff group-wide. - Strengthen monitoring functions of group companies - Design, implementation, and improvement of finance-related systems and management tools   Mandatory Qualifications: Work Experience - At least 3 years of finance-related experience at financial institutions, or non-financial corporation. (cash receipts and disbursements, cash management, negotiation with financial institutions, etc.) - General knowledge of finance and cash management - Basic IT skills in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) - Business level English skills (communicating with overseas accounting team members via videoconference and email) - Native level of Japanese   Desired Qualifications: - Experience in management of overseas subsidiaries, working for a global company, or overseas secondment - Experience in IT industry (especially in system integration business) - Experience using or implementing cash management tools and banking related systems - General knowledge of accounting and taxation (especially knowledge and experience of IFRS and Japanese GAAP) - Knowledge of accounting standards and taxation in countries such as Japan/Singapore/USA/Germany/India - Experience in using or implementing accounting systems/ERP systems such as SAP - Certified public accountant qualification (including overseas) or degree in the field of finance and accounting Other qualifications - Think and take action independently - Be interested in new tasks, self-motivated, and proactive in their work. - Teamwork oriented. - Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate the stakeholders.
