• Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation
• Maintaining accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures
• Updating financial records via accounting software
• Gathering expenses and input into appropriate entry line
• Supporting budget preparation under the supervision of management
• Supporting financial statements analysis and balance sheets preparation

Accounts Receivable
• Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
• Communicate with clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
• Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system
• Create reports and balance sheets... that document overall profits and losses
• Update client accounts based on payment or contact information

Accounts Payable
• Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Analyzing workflow processes
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

• BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA desirable
• 5+ years in progressively working in accounting roles in retail industry
• Native Japanese with Business level of English skill both verbally and in written
• Strong attention to detail skill
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem solving and creative skills
• Experience in / high skills with accounting technology and PC skills (excel, access and etc.)
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
