Scope of Work:

Under the general direction of the Events & Catering Manager and within the limits of established standards and local policies and procedures, responsible for assisting clients in planning entire weddings or specific wedding activities. To discuss wedding logistics with clients, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure that wedding-day activities run smoothly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Conducting initial consultations with clients to discuss the wedding packages available, the type of wedding desired, and their wedding budget.
2.Obtaining quotes from vendors, ensuring that budget changes are incorporated into clients’ wedding plans accordingly, and collecting payments from clients for the services provided.
3.Conferring with clients to discuss wedding details, including venue options as well as entertainment, catering, and decoration preferences.
4.Negotiating contracts with selected vendors and making payments as required.
5. Create a detailed itinerary... for the bride, groom and wedding party to follow during the event and guide them through it.
6.Monitoring all wedding-day activities to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
7.Assists in the coordination and monitoring of all banqueting business.
8.Coordinates the allocation of space for the banquet halls and meeting rooms.
9.Stay on top of current wedding trends so you can make recommendations that will enhance the client’s experience.
10.Review and update existing standards to ensure competitiveness.
11.Ensure the event follows all relevant health and safety regulations.
12.Maintain a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures.
13.To carry out any additional tasks and projects as requested by the Events and Catering Manager/Director of Food & Beverage or delegate.

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field is advantageous.
• Proven wedding or event planning experience.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong networking and negotiating skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and creative.
• Minimum of 1-2 Years Experience Working as Event/Wedding Planner in 5 Star Hotels in UAE
• Locally available in UAE
