Job Description:

As a Finance Manager in film production, you will oversee all financial activities and procurement processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of film projects. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and managing expenditures, as well as negotiating and managing contracts with vendors and suppliers. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining financial accountability and optimizing resources to support the successful completion of film productions within budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage project budgets in collaboration with producers, directors, and other stakeholders.

2. Monitor production expenditures and analyze variances to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

3. Forecast financial requirements and provide regular reports to senior management on project financial performance.

4. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices and collection of... receivables.

5. Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

6. Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of equipment, props, and materials.

7. Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability, maintaining relationships to facilitate ongoing collaboration.

8. Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to optimize resource allocation and minimize production expenses.

9. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and industry standards in all financial transactions.

10. Collaborate with production teams to provide financial guidance and support throughout the production lifecycle.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 1 year experience in handling accounts of film production.

2. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (MBA preferred).

3. Proven experience in financial management, preferably in the film or entertainment industry.

4. Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and accounting principles.

5. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from vendors and suppliers.

6. Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, QuickBooks, or similar applications.

7. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

8. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

10. Knowledge of film production processes and terminology is desirable but not required.

11. Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in financial management practices.
