Discover the life that awaits you at Accor, visit https://careers.accor.com/ Do what you love, care for the world, dare to challenge the status quo! #BELIMITLESSJob DescriptionFollow all department policies, procedures and service standardsDevelops and maintains a working relationship with the local fire, police, and government agencies and participates in relevant local forums for hotel and tourism safety and security.Ensures and... documents that safety and security training is carried out for all employees and is aware of the Accor International programs available for safety training, fire drills and crisis management training.Patrols the hotel on a regular basis and documents activities in accordance with corporate safety and security policies and procedures.Improves safety and security at the hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective actionHandles complaints, investigates, and thoroughly reports on guest or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other safety and security related issues.Ensures that written Risk Management manuals and procedures are in place in the hotel and available for all departments and employees as necessary.Ensures that routines and procedures are in place to keep all hotel entrances and exits are locked and unlocked per hotel policy.Maintains hotel key management procedures and ensures that all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access to keysEnsures that routines and procedures are in place to securely close down the different outlets at end of opening time.Ensures that all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to keep unauthorized individuals out of the area and prevent theft.Completes daily security log, including pertinent information from the shift.Completes workers compensation claims that occur on duty by investigating to determine how the accident occurred and what could have been done to prevent it.Ensures that all potential and real hazards are communicated and taken care of immediately.Applies hotel regulations, adhering to existing laws and regulations for safety, security and prevention.Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and corrects them or takes action to prevent them from happening. Health & safety To ensure a safe and healthy environment for all guests and employees at all times.Maintains own working area, materials and company property clean, tidy and in good shape; reports defective materials and equipment to General ManagerResponsible Business: show involvement and be interested in environmental and/or social issues by participating in Responsible Business hotel and departmental activitiesParticipate in any internal audits related to HEALTH & SAFETYEnsures that incident reports are logged Customer Relations Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceAdheres to all Grooming and Appearance Policy StandardsAssist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful wayEnsures guest satisfaction by attending to their requests and inquires courteously and efficientlyAccepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests and the hotels stakeholder Miscellaneous Participate in the Duty Manager ProgramPerform tasks of a reasonable nature as and when requested by Management.Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve own knowledge of the job function:Knows the following procedures by heart:- Hotel fire, bomb and emergency procedures- Hotel health and safety policies and proceduresKnows: - Hotel facilities and nearby sights of interest and importance (i.e. hospitals, stations, tourist sights) - Hotel standards of operation and departmental procedures - Current licensing relating to hotelQualificationsPrevious experience in a Security role requiredComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredCertification in CPR First Aid will be an advantageMust possess a professional presentationStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesProficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an assetAdditional InformationAt Accor, we are Heartists!
