To support our growing company of 200+ employees as well as the impending expansion across EMEA, we hope to hire a Human Resources Director to support the entities within the portfolio. This person will be expected to balance providing day-to-day support to their direct team, aligning a dynamic people strategy with the wider business strategy & collaboration with the leadership team to shape, lead & execute key initiatives to support the company scale and grow.

Profile:
• University level degree or master’s in human resource management or a related field.
• 10+ years’ experience of working within human resources, ideally with 7+ years’ experience at management level.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect, engage, and build positive relationships with employees at all levels, emphasizing the importance of being a true people person in fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
• Exceptional influencing skills and a high level of emotional intelligence with the ability to achieve high results through people.
• Prior experience in a high growth international environment.
• Have the capacity to adapt to varying company cultures withing our company portfolio.
• Possess a strategic & business mindset to have the ability to integrate teams across Europe.
• Demonstrated people management skills, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels across the organisation.
• Deep Interest in European employment law, processes & procedures, with a desire to work in a company that’s experiencing cross-regional expansion.
• An understanding of Data Protection (GDPR) and Health & Safety requirements.
• Fluent in Portuguese & English.

Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Lead the short, medium & long-term people strategy for the entities within the group, aligning with business objectives.
• People Management: Manage the HR Business Partner team & Recruitment Team to provide support, development, coaching, and leadership. Delegates tasks, and continuously monitors and evaluates team workload and efficiency.
• Communication & Collaboration: Define and deliver the appropriate communications strategy for company transformation & growth. ensure well-managed people interdependencies and reduced risk as the company continues to expand.
• Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee morale & in turn, productivity.
• People Solutions: Work closely with Heads of Departments to implement the right people solutions & processes across the business.
• Reporting: Work closely with the HR & Recruitment teams to understand metrics. Report findings & insights to senior management in order to drive efficient change.
• Employment law: Be an expert in Portuguese employment law, tax and/or payroll queries, acting as an escalation point for more complex issues and providing support and guidance as required.
• Employee feedback: maintain internal surveys to ensure that employee satisfaction is high and experience is positive. Analyze results of surveys to determine areas of improvement.
• Talent: Develop and implement programs to attract, retain and develop top talent, while ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR practices.
• Compensation & Benefits: Contribute and influence the Compensation and Benefits strategy by recommending optimizations to policies and frameworks based on regional/country needs and context.
• Integration: Capacity to integrate employees of companies we will acquire locally and internationally and harmonize across subsidiaries all the compensation/benefits program and company culture.
