Senior Occupational Therapist (Full time/ Part time)

Dublin, Ireland

€59,000-€70,000,(experience dependant)

MediHunters is a unique researched-led headhunting and talent search consultancy focussed on Allied Healthcare, based in Dublin, Ireland.

Our client - a renowned charity in Ireland serving individuals with disabilities and their families, is seeking to recruit a Senior Occupational Therapist . You will play a vital role in our Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT), providing crucial assessments, therapies, education, and family support.

As part of the CDNT, you'll specialize in supporting children with complex health needs related to disabilities, working closely with skilled colleagues in nursing, social work, and other disciplines within a family-centered practice across various settings.

Fluency in English and registration (or eligibility) with the OT Registration Board at CORU are required. We may also consider suitable candidates for... a temporary Therapy Assistant role during the registration process.

Role and Grade: Senior Grade Occupational Therapists

Essential Qualifications and Experience Criteria:
• Registered or eligible for registration with the OT Registration Board at CORU
• 3 years full-time post-qualification clinical experience
• Demonstrated ability for the proper discharge of duties
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams with children with physical disabilities/developmental delays (desirable)

Organizational and Professional Knowledge:
• Proficient understanding of OT role with various disabilities and developmental delays
• Experience/knowledge in motor learning theory, sensory integration, and interventions (desirable)

Required Organizational Competencies:
• Effective caseload management and supervision of colleagues
• Sound judgement in line with professional and ethical guidelines
• Consistent delivery of evidence-based, high-quality services
• Mentoring and training junior colleagues
• Demonstrated leadership and commitment to service improvement
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
