Position Summary:

The successful candidate will join a small and dynamic Asia HR team focussed on attracting, developing, and retaining our people. In conjunction with the Asia HR team, provide professional and pro-active HR support to employees and Managers in Hong Kong, China, Korea and Japan, including all elements of the employment cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with US and Asia HR teams to execute and support human capital priorities.
• Pro-actively build positive, trusting relationships with the management teams to ensure advice is respected and acted upon.
• Guide and advise senior leaders regarding the employee life cycle and relevant policies and procedures.
• Advise and support managers on all issues relating to employee relations, rewards, learning and development, resourcing and performance management (with support from Learning & Development Manager and Compensation & Benefits Manager based in Hong Kong).
• Work with business leaders to create robust budgets and talent plans with detailed hiring needs enabling our "right to win" and growth areas.
• Drive the annual compensation review process (including mid and year end calibration meetings) for all segments in Hong Kong, China, Korea and Japan.
• Help to drive and embed the coaching culture at FTI Consulting.
• Work with the Asia recruitment team to ensure we attract and hire quality talent (at the experienced and graduate level).
• Support employees through employee life cycle form on boarding to exits (with support from Human Resources Advisor).
• Coordinate with the head of global mobility and the relocation services vendor to provide relocation assistance where required, including visa immigration service, pre-assignment orientation, temporary accommodation, home and school search, taxation, international medical coverage, shipment, tenancy management.
• Oversee the visa processes of the Hong Kong, China, Korea and Japan offices to ensure that employees have the appropriate rights to work.
• Support the management with employee relation issues to coordinate the company's involvement and communication processes.
• Work with the rest of the Asia HR team to formulate and implement new HR policies, procedures and practices as necessary to comply with current and changing employment legislation and to continuously improve the people management practices within the business.
• Guide managers on the use of all policies and procedures in Hong Kong, China, Korea and Japan.
• Work with the management teams of relevant practices to identify individual development needs within their team and formulate development plans.
• Collate, analyse and produce critical management information on a regular and an ad hoc basis including monthly HR reports.
• Provide support on selected HR processes and projects and work collaboratively with other team members.
• Keep up to date with current and new employment law and local legislation to ensure legal compliance of company rules and regulations.
• Ad hoc duties as required.

Key Requirements:
• Minimum of 8 years in a Business Partner (or equivalent) role.
• Proven track record of managing complex issues and driving resolution
• Strong team and project management experience
• Ability to develop and build relationships at all levels, with a proven track record of acting in an advisory capacity
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills at a strategic level.
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to deliver results in a high pressured environment.
• Credible and results orientated with demonstrated experience in client relationship management.
• Able to forge strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels.
• Strong analytical and facilitating skills; the ability to bring groups with diverse views/priorities to a common resolution.
• Ability to approach issues strategically; anticipating consequences and navigating around unforeseen obstacles.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strong negotiation/diplomacy skills.
• Ability to think creatively and effectively, delivering commercially pragmatic solutions.
• Proven skills in developing and coaching others in accomplishing work objectives.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc) and HR databases
