JOB DETAILS:
Job Overview
• The Project Communications Officer will support USAID ECAP I in the development of a clear communications strategy and plan that will deliver the impact of project activities in its areas of operation. The Project Communications Officer will work closely with the Program Technical Staff at PMU and district levels to implement the project communication strategy that ensures the project’s visibility, stakeholder collaboration and networking, and donor liaison.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
S/he will be required to perform the following duties:
• Work with the lead Country Office Communication and Marketing Officer to develop and manage all project social media platforms.
• Producing engaging materials such as stories and brochures for USAID ECAP I to communicate its work to a wide range of audiences including donors, media, government and partners.
• Development of messages for various project implementation and responsible for enhancing the visibility of... USAID ECAP I
• Raising the Profile of the Project through print and electronic media interactions
• Manage USAID ECAP I Zambia’s social media channels to maintain and increase digital presence
• Responsible for the publicity of all USAID ECAP I programmes and activities across all operational sites and areas
• Develop and implement a clear communications work plan for undertaking all communications activities across all USAID ECAP I programmes and activities.
• Disseminating programs and response activities to stakeholders, partners & Communities
• Enhancing communication procedures and an understanding of the Project to both internal & external stakeholders
• Media tracking and monitoring of all USAID ECAP I publicity, including tracking of scammer that would like to abuse the Project’s media publicity.
• Support USAID ECAP I Programmes and M&E Team in documenting case and success stories.
• Ensure that USAID ECAP I media publicity comply with USAID Marking and Branding Strategy.

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years work experience in a related field.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
