Due to continued growth they are seeking a Junior Contract Manager to join their team based in Auckland. This is perfectly suited to a Quantity Surveyor or Contracts Administrator with circa 3 years Post Graduate Experience in the industry wanting to experience something different.

Position: Junior Contract Manager

Location: Auckland, New Zealand

Role Description: As a JCM, you will play a crucial role in the efficient management of construction costs while ensuring high-quality project delivery. Working under the guidance of experienced Contract Managers ... Directors, you will gain valuable hands-on experience and receive comprehensive training to develop your skills within the construction industry. Your responsibilities will include assisting in cost estimating, tendering, contract administration, and budget control throughout various building & infrastructure projects throughout New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze and review project documentation to identify scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Support in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the tendering process.
• Collaborate with the project team to monitor and control project costs, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in contract administration and claims management.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, variations, and measure works for payment applications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, codes, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in using industry-standard software for quantity surveying and cost estimation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• A keen interest in the construction industry and a desire to learn and grow as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Manager
• Knowledge of New Zealand building regulations and construction practices
