Technical Sales Engineer

ETAP is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer & Business Developer for the sale of our etap software for Electrical Design, Simulation, Engineering & Operations, in Denmark.

The Role

The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for... managing the sales effort within the Denmark and Nordics customer base. The successful candidate will utilize exceptional technical knowledge to recommend product solutions to potential customers while cultivating new relationships and maintaining current customer relationships. The role offers the opportunity to work, gain training and experience as part of a growing and dynamic engineering team supporting a full range of industry sectors.

ETAP's customers can be found in all industries, for example in the construction of properties and industries, where the customers often operate as e.g. consulting engineers and electrical planners , in the manufacturing industry where the customers are often manufacturers of machinery and production equipment, and End Users.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Establish long-term, ongoing relationships within existing accounts
• Develop sales of our ETAP software with our customers and follow up on any leads
• Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
• Develop sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products & services
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations
• Working closely as part of a dedicated team
• Communicate with colleagues, management, Clients, vendors, and others in a professional manner

Given the nature of the business with complex salaries and relatively long sales cycles, your energy, high activity level and persistence will make you successful in the role.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• BEng in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Technology Management and Marine Engineering or similar
• Professional selling experience in high-tech or service related industry
• Energy automation knowledge required
• Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and targets
• Experience of financial and commercial contract negotiations
• Good business acumen with the ability to understand industry dynamics, the competitive environment and customer business drivers;
• Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills;
• Self driven, motivated and results oriented
• Previous work experience in an international business environment
• Experience with ETAP or other power system analysis software is a bonus
