To provide efficient and effective, technical and administrative support to an underwriting team

The opportunity

We are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our team.

Your new role
• Support underwriting through general administration to ensure delivery of a professional service... within agreed turnaround times.
• Input data accurately on relevant internal and external systems to maintain correct and up to date information.
• Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop effective underwriting and underwriting assistant process flows.
• Respond to broker/client requests in accordance with service standards to provide an excellent customer focus.
• Prepare relevant reports and back up information to support the team to assist the business.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver superior service standards as part of the extended service team.
• Deal with all broker accounts and Underwriting queries within agreed timescales.
About you
• At least 5 years' experience in underwriting assistant role, preferably familiar with Casualty, Property and/or Construction.
• Knowledge of administrating multinational programmes is an advantage.
• Flexible approach and ability to recognise and adapt to changing business requirements.
• Good team player with the capability to work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English is a requirement.
• Strong organizational and analytical skill, able to prioritize.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage to work in multiple systems, comfortable working with both speed and accuracy.
• Problem solving skills - demonstrates tenacity in handling and resolving queries.
• Have an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of class specific underwriting knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of e-Abs.
