The Chinese Media Group (CMG) is seeking a highly motivated Branding Specialist to join its Branding & Marketing (B&M) team. The B&M department is responsible for co-developing and implementing CMG’s products brand strategies, as well as driving effective marketing and communication plans to create strong brand value; these include Lianhe Zaobao, Shin Min Daily News, ThinkChina, ZBSchools, HeyKaki, UFM100.3, 96.3 Hao FM, UWeekly etc.

As a Branding Specialist, you will be supporting at least 2 products in their local branding and marketing needs, while working closely with the rest of CMG to identify and tap on cross-promotional opportunities. You are expected to:
• Develop a thorough understanding of CMG and its brands’ mission and business goals.
• Partner key internal stakeholders i.e. newsrooms , Sales, Consumer Revenue, Community Engagement and Product & Tech etc. to develop a cohesive brand and campaign strategy where objectives and outcomes are aligned.
• Coordinate closely... with internal stakeholders i.e. designer, producer, video editor, social media, ad operations etc. to plan and execute marketing plans of varying scales within budget.
• Craft and edit content for various communication materials, including press releases, invites, factsheets, social media posts etc.
• Manage media enquiries and interview requests.
• Monitor, analyze and report marketing results of projects to internal and external stakeholders, where applicable.
• Ensure consistency in messaging and branding (e.g. logos, slogan, key visuals) across all communication channels and materials, reinforcing the brand’s identity.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for approval of key artwork and communication materials.
• Drive the development of brand collaterals, including but not limited to premiums and merchandise.
• Prepare and submit entries for local, regional and international media awards, and coordinate relevant communications based on competition outcomes.
• Maintain and upkeep the brands’ assets and workflow depository.
• Support internal communication efforts by crafting engaging messages, newsletters, and announcements to keep CMG colleagues informed and engaged with key activities.
• Assist in developing crisis communications plans and providing support during crisis situations.

Job Requirements
• Degree holder; candidates with at least 5 years of related working experience in media, public relations or marketing and communications preferred;
• Proven experience in developing and executing communication plans across various channels;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin, as this role mainly supports Chinese products;
• Familiar and comfortable in using Google Workspace, social media, content creation tools and analytical tools;
• Kept abreast of changes in content trends, technologies, social media landscape and consumer behaviors;
• Highly proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, good at problem-solving and project management abilities; good news sense would be advantageous;
• Able to multitask with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
• Able to work independently but also connect with people and collaborate as a team;
• Able to work on weeknights/weekends due to events
