About Seqana:

Seqana is an EU- and venture-backed start-up specializing in the development of monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) tools to drive soil carbon sequestration and the transition towards regenerative and climate-preserving agriculture. Our innovative approach utilizes satellite imagery, a comprehensive proprietary soil dataset, and advanced machine learning techniques to offer precise, cost-effective MRV... solutions. These tools empower stakeholders to measure the impact of regenerative agricultural practices effectively, facilitating significant carbon reporting.

The Role:

We are seeking a driven, ambitious (Senior) Sales Manager to join our growing team. As a Sales Manager, you will play a key role in amplifying the reach and impact of Seqana’s cutting-edge products globally, engaging a diverse spectrum of stakeholders in the agri-food value chain.

Impact You Will Own:
• Sales Strategy and Execution: Lead the charge in strategizing and executing enterprise sales initiatives to build and enhance corporate relationships, directly contributing to the implementation of soil organic carbon quantification and sequestration solutions.
• Partnership Development: Design and implement targeted outreach and communication strategies to develop and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders. Your relationships will facilitate the creation of scalable solutions that benefit both our company and our partners, fostering long-term success.
• Market Expansion: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure our product strategy is aligned with evolving market trends and customer demands. Your insights and efforts will be critical in identifying new business opportunities and driving the expansion of our footprint in the industry.
• Sales Process Leadership: Own the end-to-end sales process, from identifying potential leads to successfully closing deals. This includes crafting compelling technical sales pitches, conducting product demonstrations, and developing KPIs to enhance sales performance and forecasting accuracy. Your leadership will ensure our sales team operates with efficiency and effectiveness, driving our company's success.

What You Bring:
• 5+ years of experience in sales or business development. You have a demonstrated ability to close deals and drive sales growth, with a deep understanding of sales strategies and market dynamics.
• Expert-level proficiency in English. Your linguistic skills enable you to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner, and connect with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers, driving successful business outcomes.
• Technical savvy and strong interest in technology with eagerness to learn about our products and the science behind them. Your ability to grasp technical details is crucial for leading informed sales discussions and presentations.
• Proven track record of excellency in developing new sales concepts and pitching innovative solutions to potential partners. You are adept at demonstrating the tangible value of our products, convincing partners of the benefits of collaboration.
• You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner with the ability to adapt to new challenges and great strategic thinking. Your ambition and proactive approach drive you to exceed sales targets and contribute to our company's growth.

What Makes You Stand Out
• Experience in enterprise sales
• A background in AgTech, carbon accounting, or related fields is a strong plus
• Familiarity with methodologies related to nature based solutions, ideally SOC, and carbon registry standards (e.g.: GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals Guidance, Verra’s VM0042, Gold Standards Soil Organic Carbon Framework Methodology)
• Knowledge of the Compliance Markets and Voluntary Carbon Market, including accreditation
• German language skills
