Job Title: Nursing Officer

Job Description:

Position Summary:
The Nursing Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within the healthcare facility. Working closely with the medical team, the Nursing Officer oversees the nursing staff, coordinates patient care activities, and maintains standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care Coordination:
• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of patient care services to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the medical team.
• Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Nursing Staff Management:
• Supervise nursing staff, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants, ensuring adequate staffing levels and adherence to scheduling policies.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to nursing... staff to foster professional development and enhance patient care outcomes.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff, addressing any performance issues or concerns.
• Quality Assurance:
• Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to assess and improve the quality of patient care services.
• Conduct regular audits and evaluations of nursing practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Investigate incidents or complaints related to patient care and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and management, conveying information, policies, and procedures effectively.
• Foster a culture of open communication and teamwork among nursing staff to promote a positive work environment and enhance patient care outcomes.
• Administrative Duties:
• Oversee the maintenance of patient records and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in budget planning and resource allocation activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resources within the nursing department.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols related to nursing practice and patient care.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• Current valid nursing license and registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in nursing leadership or management role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practices, procedures, and protocols.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage time efficiently.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
