Job Summary:

The position holder is responsible for maintaining a close relationship with the communities in order to facilitate a smooth program and project implementation. In addition, the community mobilized is responsible for facilitating awareness creation measures and facilitate responses to conflict as a tool to enable their participation in their development procedure.

Main responsibilities:
• The work of community mobilizers must be... strategic to ensure the community level and cluster community level platforms become spaces in which transparent, accountable, inclusive. Pro-poor development processes are practiced and institutionalized. Mobilize and sensitize communities on CCAP and introduce the project to the district and community level.
• Raising awareness of communities regarding the Citizens’ Charter.
• Organizing the first contract with district and village authorities.
• enhancing community awareness
• Supporting CDCs/GAs and CCDCs in creating community profiles.
• Facilitating participatory tools to feed into planning and support CDCs/GAs and CCDCs in Gap analysis for creating participatory and pro-poor and inclusive Community Development Plans.
• Ensuring people inclusion to CCAP program, especially poor and excluded women and men disables and children.
• Supporting CDCs/GAs and CCDCs to create Bank Accounts or sub-accounts
• Facilitating the development of Community/Cluster and GA Development Plans through community resources and poverty analysis.
• Facilitating CDPs processes.
• Supporting CDCs and sub-committees (initially with relatively intense engagement that reduces over time) to run these local bodies and establish essential practices (periodic meetings, rotating chairmanship, public awareness campaigns, mobilization of human, physical and financial resources, etc.) to institutionalize participation, inclusion, and collective action and to monitor services (e.g., the establishment of water points), Work with the local bodies involves the facilitation of self-evaluations.
• Supporting the CDC and its sub-committees in adhering to CC policies and procedures.
• Building Capacity of CDCs/ and Cluster CDCs/GAs and all sub-committees to perform their roles and responsibilities.
• Facilitating interest and self-help groups in communities, with a focus on poor men and women and marginalized and excluded groups
• Facilitating and support Community-Led Total Sanitation
• Assessing the training needs of the CDCs and sub-committees in mid-stream and adjust refresher training
• Reporting misalignments in terms of CC implementation (corruption / collusion / theft / misbehavior and security issues.
• Conducting a detailed assessment of the CDCs.
• Reporting to district manager updating CCAP activities at the community level.

Requirements and qualification
• hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field or have a baccalaureate degree.
• Applicants with a bachelor’s degree should have at least one year of experience, and baccalaureate applicants should have at least three years of experience in community development. Social work with involvement in the NSP program and CDCs is required.
