Position Overview:

A management position within JMK Group with key involvement in all strategies required for the sales and marketing of all accommodation, events, food and beverage, meeting room rental, and other revenues. Oversee the development and implementation of brand and group strategies.

Within the above, the role also has direct responsibility for the overall sales performance of segments of business (Consortia, FIT, Corporate, Wholesale and Tour Operator and group). While profitability for the group is the number one priority for this position, it must be accompanied by a focus on outstanding quality of service, attention to detail and product for our customers.

Sales and Marketing Executive also works directly with Group Sales and Marketing Manager and General Manager’s on budgets, forecasts, yield strategies, and rates to ensure that business goals are achieved.

To carry out duties in accordance with statutory, health and safety requirements.

Duties:

Management
•... Manages the sales and marketing efforts for Waterford Marina Hotel.
• Strive to build positive working relationships internally and externally through teamwork and clear communication resulting in win/win decisions.
• Ensures that all decisions and resulting actions meet 100% guest satisfaction in producing a high level of service.
• Monitors standards of work in relation to correspondence, quotes, or any written material, ensuring 100% accuracy is always achieved.
• Has a strategic perspective by continuously monitoring and developing our brand and integrating it into every aspect of the guest experience at JMK Group.
• Company representative in forums that are sales centric or where required in the absence of the General Manager.
• Conduct/attend all sales, operational and management meetings as required/requested.
• Be involved in any sales activities, meetings or reports required by JMK Group.
• Perform other related duties as requested.

Sales and Marketing.
• Achieve and exceed budgeted room nights and revenue goals annually in specific areas of responsibility.
• Write and execute annual sales and marketing plans to maintain and uncover new business opportunities.
• Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.
• Analise and estimate total value of critical pieces of business and negotiate optimum revenue for the hotels while ensuring excellent customer service.
• Grows and maintains positive working relationships with all third parties that are booking or representing JMK Group.
• Assist all Operational Departments in obtaining necessary customer information and closing business as required.
• Monitor and maintain through constructive communication the consistency of the brands throughout the organisation.
• Manage/direct all local advertising, public relations, and promotional activities.

Financial, Strategic, planning and review.
• Develop business, rate and booking strategies through review of all reporting provided by company, Group Commercial Manager, and other parties.
• Work with Head of Sales and Marketing, Head of Operations Ireland, and GM to ensure accuracy of budget and forecasting of revenues.
• Attend all meetings as held.
• Ensures that budget that is prepared to meet the sales and marketing plan is not exceeded annually.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of competition, consumer, market, and industry trends that will impact the business of our hotels within JMK Group and make recommendations / plans in response to any of these matters.

• Have extensive knowledge of sales skills with thorough knowledge of our product to be able to deal with a variety of sales enquiries.
• Able to offer any assistance possible to guests.
• Able to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by company.
• Able to comply with rules and standards per the employee handbook.
• Able to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management.
