Job Role: Digital Content Officer

Reports to: Marketing Manager, Content

Job Grade: L5

Department: Marketing

Location: Nairobi

Employment Type: 6 months contract


The Digital Content Officer will assist to drive forward DPO Group’s web-based content and digital presence, ensuring the right tone of voice, brand look, feel and messaging. Working closely with colleagues across the Marketing team and other departments, the Digital Content Officer proactively develops content and presents it in an engaging way across our existing and future digital channels.

The Digital Content Officer should have good knowledge and a passion for creating content, playing a key role in delivering vibrant and engaging content for the DPO Group website and digital channels. They will drive our online presence, increase awareness and understanding of our brand through engaging with target audiences to achieve objectives.


• Produce high quality... content for the website and digital presence, working closely with

the Marketing Manager - Content

• Develop content plans to ensure an excellent online user journey through the creation of

copy, and use of video and photography

• Work closely with the Marketing Manager: Content and colleagues to ensure course

content is engaging and easy to find

• Strong ability to conceptualise forward-thinking, original, and creative design assets

• Evaluate the use of content and digital channels using data to drive and support decision-

making on a regular basis to encourage innovation, utilising feedback, analytics, and


• Collaborate with design, product, and regional teams to produce high quality, interesting,

and unique content

• Edit, proofread, and improve content

• Optimise content considering SEO and Google AnalyticsClassification - Internal Use

• Share content through various channels ensuring strong web presence

• Manage content calendar and scheduling

• Drive the DPO Group’s content planning and co-ordination processes across all

communications channels, which may involve internal and external contacts

• Ensure copy is written and edited to our house style and exacting standards of accuracy

• Work alongside the Marketing Manager: Content Manager to further develop the existing

house style

• Prepare digital activity reports and metrics for measuring content success regularly

• Provide market research, forecasts, competitive analysis, campaign results and consumer


• Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior and competitive


• Compile research reports for future campaigns based on learnings

• Serve as the support for Digital Content creation and collation. Serve as the social media

expert for our content for the rest of the marketing division

• Coordinate with other marketing functions to ensure content needs are met and fulfilled

within deadlines


Additional knowledge and qualifications

• Experience working as a social media coordinator or similar and implementing successful digital plans across various platforms

• Expertise in copywriting, editing, and content creation

• Working knowledge of SEO best practices & community management

• Knowledge of social media marketing and digital content marketing

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant marketing experience
